Borderlands 3 Director’s Cut Gets Delayed
Borderlands 3 Directors Cut was announced back in February this year, and was set to release on March 18, 2021. However, due to the bad weather in Texas, where Gearbox Software headquarters are situated, it is not going to be possible. In a new Tweet from Gearbox, the team says that due to the various challenges that arose from the bizarre weather conditions, the Director’s Cut add-on will be delayed. It is now set to release on April 8, 2021.
The tweet states that the severe weather conditions disrupted the work on Director’s Cut, and the team had to postpone its release so as to ensure it delivers the best possible experience. Fortunately, all of the members of the team, and their respective families are safe, and in good health. Check out the main tweet below:
Hey Vault Hunters, we have an important update for you. pic.twitter.com/Vqn1VSrDGK— Borderlands 3 (@Borderlands) March 11, 2021
For those of you who are unaware, just a few weeks ago, Texas was facing severe winter storms. These storms caused wide power outages, and the temperatures dropped to its lowest level in the last 30 years. Due to all of these, it is quite understandable that the team had to postpone the release of the Borderlands 3 Director’s Cut add-on.
The Director’s Cut addon would be bringing a new raid boss, called Hemovorous The Invincible, various murder mystery missions, along with new vault cards which will allow you to track the progression for various daily, and weekly challenges. So, although the Director’s Cut sounds more like a redefined/remastered/enhanced version of the game. In reality, it is more of a DLC, but from the looks of it, a good one. If you were waiting for the release of this new DLC which was supposed to happen a few days from now. Sadly, you would be having to wait for another three weeks.
